Chicago-based Intelligentsia Coffee, which also has coffee bars in Los Angeles and New York, appears to be headed for Watertown. The craft coffeemakers have been advertising job openings on Sprudge.com. The openings were first reported on Eater Boston last week. The company is seeking a “retail educator,” a retail store manager, and a sales executive. No word on where Intelligentsia would be located.

More than 325 employees from Tufts Health Plan spent the day volunteering with community organizations throughout the Greater Boston area, this week, completing more than 900 hours of service in one day. Volunteer Day is one way Tufts Health Plan demonstrates its commitment to community, inviting all employees to spend the day in service with and for community organizations, according to Tufts Health Plan. It was a beautiful day – and so rewarding to learn more about the great work of our community partners. Nearly 40 volunteers spent the morning building ramps and striping the Community Rowing parking lot to make it possible for rowers with disabilities to access the water. More than 50 volunteers tackled landscaping projects at the Dimock Center in Roxbury, spreading more than 20 yards of mulch and planting more than nine dozen annuals and perennials to beautify the grounds.

Athenahealth released details of how it will seek to reduce the number of people driving to work alone, and it will participate in the town’s effort to bring a shuttle to Watertown.
On Wednesday, the company that owns the Arsenal on the Charles released its Transportation Demand Management plan that was created as part of its proposal to redevelop the former U.S. Army facility on Arsenal Street. The plan calls for the company to employ a full-time, on-site Transportation Demand Management Coordinator, as would any subsequent owner of the complex. It will also join MassRides, a group that will “encourage healthy transportation options for employees.” Athenahealth’s plan said the company will participate in the Watertown Transportation Management Association, which is likely to include a shuttle. The company said it would contribute in a proportional way with other developments in the area.
Residence Inn by Marriott on Arsenal Street will hold a job fair on Tuesday, June 21 and Wednesday, June 22 from 7 a.m.-12 p.m. and 2-6 p.m.
