Watertown Insurance Agency Looks for Record Collection for Toys for Tots

If you stop by the offices of H & K Insurance, you’ll see a brightly wrapped and bow covered collection box for Toys for Tots. The box was dropped off Nov. 1, and before it’s picked up again in December, H & K announced it hopes to fill it to overflowing. Another record-breaking toy drive for the insurance agency, all for a good cause. Every year the Toys for Tots program makes Christmas possible for millions of children throughout New England and the greater United States.

Have to say, we are wondering when Athenahealth is going to live up to their last few years of lip service about being good neighbors and communicating with the town. Since garage construction was recently approved, right now would seem to be a good time to start sending notices in the mail, opening up a webpage, and sharing contact info for community concerns about construction issues. Searching through all related documents and emails, we could find only one person to contact. Apologies, Mark Blair for sending our first email only to you, but we had no other contact information. Watertown Savings Kicks Off Voting for 21st Annual Customer Choice Awards

Watertown Savings Bank (WSB) CEO Ron Dean is pleased to announce that voting is now open in the Bank’s 21st Annual Customer Choice Awards. Through this program $75,000 is distributed among local non-profits according to how bank customers vote. “The Bank is extremely proud of the Customer Choice Awards because of how many organizations are helped,” Dean said. “Our employees look forward to the awards night each year, to learn about all of the good work being done in our communities.”

How do the Customer Choice Awards work: Anyone with a Watertown Savings Bank account may vote. Every customer will receive a ballot with their monthly statements in November (or will be mailed a ballot directly).
