Halloween Fun-a-Plenty Can be Found at the Watertown Mall

The Watertown Mall has all kinds of fun planned for Halloween, see details below! The Watertown Mall, 550 Arsenal Street, Watertown, is hosting several free events this month, according to an announcement from the mall. The 24th Annual Scarecrow Contest kicked off the Autumn Fun on Oct. 16, 2015. Individuals, families, groups, schools, classes, businesses and organizations were invited to enter a scarecrow in the contest.

Head to the Mall for Some Halloween Fun and Trick or Treating

The Arsenal Project has a lineup of Halloween Fun lined up this weekend. 

On Sunday, Oct. 25 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. the Arsenal Project – formerly the Arsenal Mall – will host a Free Family-Friendly Trick or Treat Event! The mall is located at 485 Arsenal St. in Watertown. Kids in costume age 12 years and younger are invited for the store-to-store Trick or Treat.

Gore Place Hosting Frightful Friday Ghost Stories in October

Come down to the Gore Place to hear some spooky stories just in time for Halloween. On Fridays Oct. 16, 23 and 30, Gore Place will host Frightful Friday Ghost Stories in the 1860 Gore Mansion. The stories will be read at 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

Along with some spooky stories, visitors will get to see the beautiful rooms and furnishings of this wonderful old house. There will be two tours per evening.

Revels Will Sing at the Commander’s Mansion in Watertown

The Revels Salon Series returns to the Commander’s Mansion in Watertown with two Welsh-centric presentations including one on Dylan Thomas’s A Child’s Christmas in Wales with Ben Evett and The Poets’ Theatre

Eclectic in content and social in nature, the Salon Series offers a place for guests to gather, enjoy wine and cheese, and hear talks about various subjects relating to Revels and our upcoming productions. Your evening’s hosts, Revels directors George Emlen and Patrick Swanson, will deconstruct the process of putting this year’s Welsh Christmas Revels together, from early research through actual site visits, music and text selection, script writing, recording, casting, editing and rehearsing. We promise to keep things cracking with lots of images, photographs, and musical illustrations.

Series of Concerts Benefiting Watertown’s Sister City Starts Saturday

The first of the Tremedal Concerts will be held this Saturday at the First Parish Church in Watertown. The proceeds after expenses support Watertown’s sister community in El Salvador – Nueva Esperanza. The concert features Linda Waterfall, a prolific performer, recording artist songwriter who has been performing for going on 40 years. Watertfall performs on a double bill with Oen Kennedy Saturday, Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. at First Parish Church, 35 Church St. in Watertown.
