A group that helps people gain the confidence to speak in public will be hosting an open house in Watertown in October.

A vision of what a new Watertown Middle School could look like created by Ai3 Architects and presented to the School Committee in October 2025.
The possibility of building a new Middle School in Watertown moved a step closer to becoming a reality at Tuesday’s City Council meeting. The Council also approved funding for projects at City parks, the library, Police Station, and for Watertown’s Treaty Day celebration.
A group that helps people gain the confidence to speak in public will be hosting an open house in Watertown in October.
The Watertown Boys and Girls Club has kicked off its Great Futures Campaign, the public fund-raising effort to pay for a major overhaul of the club on Whites Avenue including the addition of a teen center.
The Watertown Tree Warden has trees that can be planted free in front of or in the near front yard of residential properties in town, but the deadline for signing up is coming up.

For many the twilight and evening hours are special – a time to relax, unwind, draw closer to loved ones and friends, measure thoughts against the gathering night. But for hundreds of households in the vicinity of Watertown’s Victory Field, ours among them, such simple pleasures have become more elusive in recent years due to the nightly incursion of distressingly bright glare from the lights on the field.

Register today for Watertown Boys & Girls Club’s 14th Annual 5K Road Race. The race will take place on Sunday, November 5 at 10 a.m. starting at the Club (25 Whites Avenue, Watertown).
