Hundreds of parents and students came out to see what the Watertown Public Schools have to offer in the areas of science, technology, math and engineering during the STEM Night at Watertown Middle School.
May flowers may have been brought by April showers, but there do seem to be plenty of May showers around as well. This weekend there are fun activities to accommodate both flowers and rain. You can start Friday evening with a unique film about a famous Greek musician, Stelios Kazantzidis at the Majestic 7. There is a Watertown Children’s Theater production of Hadestown with their high school aged actors on the weekend evenings or Saturday and Sunday matinees. On Saturday there is the first Watertown Eco Fest at the Commander’s Mansion that will be educational and fun.
Maria Ann Littleton
Maria Ann Littleton, 100 years old, of Belmont and Watertown, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Watertown to Italian Immigrants, Carmela and Pasquale DiGiacomo, she was the oldest of six children.

I write to express my dismay at some of the testimony at last night’s Committee on Economic Development and Planning. Council President Sideris was correct to bring this to the committee. This ordinance needs extensive re-writing to remove substantial subjectivity and clarify scope.
