Police Log: String of Car Break Ins, Man Has to be Removed from Church Service

Arrest
April 30, 4:02 p.m.: Police spotted a vehicle cross over the center line on Arsenal Street. The officer pulled the vehicle over and found the driver had an active warrant. The 27-year-old Jamaica Plain man was arrested on the warrant from Dorchester District Court for failure to stop for police, reckless driving, and a crosswalk violation. Police Log: Woman Arrested for Driving Stolen Car, Hose Stuffed up Car’s Tailpipe

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
April 16, 7:26 p.m.: Police arrived at the Target parking lot and found a security guard with a suspect who had a brown piece luggage with five bottles of champagne inside. When the man saw the police officers, he dropped the bag and ran. Officers caught him after a brief chase The champagne was worth $297.44. Security told police the man had been spotted taking items from the store on two previous occasions.

Police Log: Irate Motorist Arrested, Checks Go Missing from Mail & Cashed Elsewhere

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
April 9, 12:46 a.m.: A motorist reported seeing a black SUV strike a pole on a traffic island on North Beacon Street at Arsenal Street, and drive away. Police were able to track the vehicle down on Lexington Street and Main Street, and it had smoke coming from underneath the hood, heavy damage to the front, and a shattered windshield. The officer observed the vehicle traveling slowly and swerving. Police stopped the vehicle, and noticed the driver had signs of intoxication.
