Aug. 27, 2:15 a.m.: A vehicle struck a parked car on Prescott Street. Police responded and found one car partially on the street and partially on the sidewalk. The driver of the vehicle had driven into a driveway and struck the car parked there.

Aug. 20, 3:02 p.m.: Officers checked on the welfare of a woman on Chestnut Street at Main Street and during a query they found she had three outstanding arrest warrants. The 37-year-old homeless woman was arrested on the two warrants from New Bedford District Court for assault and battery on a correctional officer and a default warrant from Boston District Court. Aug. 15, 8:09 a.m.: An officer spotted a vehicle run a red light on Arsenal Street at School Street. The vehicle was pulled over on School Street at Dexter Avenue. The officer recognized the driver and knew he had a suspended license.

Aug. 6, 5:57 p.m.: A man was spotted in Target taking items and putting them in a backpack. Before leaving he grabbed a bike and tried to roll it out of the store without paying for it, or for the items in his backpack. Security stopped him and found men’s clothing and two prepaid cellphones.
A Waltham man is paying a big price for texting while driving. When he was pulled over in Watertown, police discovered drugs, cash and items used by drug dealers. On Aug. 9, at 7:38 p.m., a police officer spotted a driver run a stop sign on Bridge Street near Bemis Park, and noticed the driver was texting while driving. After pulling the vehicle over, Police spoke to the driver — later identified as Andrew Lam of Waltham — and discovered he did not have a driver’s license, and he also was holding a small zip lock bag containing a white powder.

July 24, 2:47 p.m.: Police received multiple calls from concerned people about a man who was acting strange and carrying a knife on Patten Street, off Mt. Auburn Street. Officers located the man, who was still carrying a knife in one hand and a kitchen stool in the other. The officers were able to calm the man and he put the knife down.

July 16, 8:36 p.m.: Police were alerted about a woman wanted on warrants, and they located her on Pilgrim Road. The 41-year-old Watertown woman was arrested on the warrants out of Waltham District Court, a default warrant for larceny under $1,200 and a second default warrant for driving with a suspended license and marked lanes violation. July 21, 8:18 p.m.: An officer patrolling in Watertown Square saw a vehicle run a red light going from Galen Street onto Main Street. The driver was stopped on Main near Whites Avenue.

July 4, 9:31 p.m.: Police received multiple reports of fireworks being set off in town, and when an officer was patrolling on near Mt. Auburn Street and Parker Street he noticed fireworks going off on Phillips Street. The officer saw a man light more fireworks. Police also found that the man was wanted on a warrant.
