Police Log: Man Arrested for OUI; Church, Diner Broken Into

Sept. 29, 11:23 p.m.: A hit-and-run accident occurred at Union Street near Eliot Street, and when police arrived they spotted a damaged vehicle a little way down the street and the driver inside. He told police he was reading a text when he hit the vehicle. Police performed field sobriety tests.

Police Arrest Man Suspected in a Series of Break Ins Around Town

After a string of break-ins in the Watertown Square area, Watertown Police caught their suspect in the act this week. Churches and a restaurant reported being broken into and having cash and valuables stolen over the prior week. Watertown Police got a break in the case when one of the places broken into caught the suspect on surveillance video, said Police Lt. Michael Lawn. They recognized the man on the video as Wilbert Stith, a 51-year-old homeless man, who has been seen in the area recently. On Sept.

Watertown Police Bust Massage Employee on Prostitution Charges

Police arrested an employee of a massage business in Watertown on prostitution charges. 

Watertown Police conducted a sting on Orange Tree Body Works, 220 Waverley Ave., on Sept. 18. They had received several complaints and tips from concerned citizens about the activity at the business. Police arrested one employee after the sting, Bi Ou, on a charge of sexual conduct for a fee. “The Watertown Police Department would like to thank the public for their help in keeping our community safe,” the police said in the announcement of the arrest.
