It’s time to play ball for Watertown’s young baseball and softball players.

Opening Day for Watertown Baseball, Watertown Softball and Watertown Challenger is Saturday, May 3.

Teams will kick off the season with a parade, beginning at Saltonstall Park on Main Street, and ending at Casey Field on Watertown Street. The parade will be led by Watertown Fire Chief Mario Orangio.

Casey Field will host the opening ceremonies, then there will be a full slate of games. See details below:

Opening Day Schedule

8 a.m. Players, Managers and Coaches assemble at Saltonstall Park

8:20 a.m. Parade leaves Saltonstall Park. Fire Chief Mario Orangio leads parade

8:50 a.m. Parade arrives at Casey Field

9 a.m. Opening Ceremonies

9:45 a.m. Instructional & T-Ball: All Teams

10:15 a.m. A Level Baseball: All Teams

10:45 a.m. AA Level Baseball: Cubs vs Cardinals

11 a.m. at Bemis Park AAA Level Baseball: Astros vs A’s

11:30  a.m. Girls Softball 10U: Sprites vs Wildcats

1 p.m. AAA Level Baseball: Cub vs Orioles

3 p.m. Girls Softball 12U: Crushers vs Panthers

5 p.m. Majors Baseball: Cubs vs Orioles

7 p.m. Majors Baseball: Astros vs Cardinals
