Police Log: Tires and Rims Stolen from Dealership and More

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.

Arrests

Dec. 15, 8:43 a.m.: A man was caught on video taking a DeWalt 20 volt drill combo pack worth $369 and a Vitamin Water from Home Depot. The 22-year-old Boston man was arrested for larceny over $250.

Dec. 20, 6:47 a.m.: Police got a call from Waltham District Court’s Probation Department about a man who wears an ankle monitoring bracelet had left his home against his probation. Police located the 61-year-old Watertown man on Bemis Street and arrested him on the warrant for probation violations.

Dec. 21, 5:40 p.m.: An officer on Brimmer Street spotted a car speeding and confirmed the vehicle was going 48 miles per hour. When the officer stopped the vehicle, the officer discovered the driver had a warrant. The 30-year-old Watertown man was arrested for speeding and the warrant from East Boston District Court for traffic offenses.

Dec. 21, 11:02 p.m.: Watertown Police served a probation warrant from Middlesex Superior Court on Sycamore Street and arrested a 23-year-old Watertown man.

Incidents

Dec. 15, 9:06 p.m.: Two roommates from Pleasant Street reported that three packages had been taken from their porch on Dec. 11.

Dec. 16, 4:14 p.m.: Two employees of a moving company left their backpacks in a truck when they were on Lloyd Road and when they returned they were gone. Among other things, the backpacks contained wallets.

Dec. 16, 5:32 p.m.: A 19-year-old Brighton man was stopped at Target after security saw him conceal headphones, an MP3 player and a cellphone under his shirt. Police trespassed the man from the store and Target will handle the matter internally.

Dec. 16, 6:51 p.m.: A customer at Fendi Nail Salon on Waverley Avenue left her coat and purse on a chair while she had her nails done. Afterward she discovered her wallet was missing from her purse and a credit card had been used at Radio Shack in Waltham. A woman had been seen in the salon looking at nail polish during the time the victim was having her nails done.

Dec. 17, 7:16 p.m.: Marshalls security stopped three juveniles – a 14 year old from Revere, a 13 year old from Everett and a 14 year old from Boston – who took a total of $45.91 worth of sox. The store will handle the incident internally.

Dec. 18, 8:12 a.m.: A bicycle was stolen from Evans Street. The blue Giant mountain bike, worth $300, was last seen the previous week.

Dec. 18, 8:42 a.m.: Employees of Colonial GMC discovered that someone had come into the lot overnight and stolen numerous tires and rims. A truck had been propped up on jacks and all four tires and rims were stolen. Four other sets were taken, for a total of eight tires (worth $2,400) and eight rims (worth $7,200) were taken. Later they discovered and additional four rims and three tires were missing.

Dec. 20, 4:38 p.m.: Someone broke into a vehicle pared in a driveway on French Street and rummaged through the glove compartment and center console. Nothing appeared to be missing.
