Austin Lin continued to scorch the track at Saturday’s MIAA Indoor Track & Field All-State Meet.
The Watertown High School junior finished sixth at the meet, and ran a personal best and broke his own school record in the 600 meters for the second time with a time of 1:22.26. He set the prior mark a week before at the Div. 4 Meet when he ran 1:22.98.
Lin’s time easily qualifies him for the New England Indoor Track & Field Championships, talking place Feb. 27 and 28 at Boston University.
Also Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center in Boston, the Watertown boys 4 x 400 relay ran the race in 3:31.36, which got the 11th place in the state. The team included Lin, and seniors Amin Touri, Brian DallaCosta and Prosper Lubega.
