Watertown senior Derek DiPietrantonio and the Raiders took down Burlington Wednesday.

The Watertown basketball teams both claimed home victories Wednesday night in a day full of action for the Raiders.

The boys basketball team grabbed its first win of the year. Watertown beat visiting Burlington 57-43 and improved to 1-3. The Raiders will return to the WHS Gym on Jan. 2 to take on Waltham at 7 p.m.

Senior forward Felicia Korte scored 11 points to help the Raiders girls basketball team beat Burlington 43-27. Watertown remains undefeated at 4-0 and will next take on Natick in the Hutchinson Tournament in Bellingham on Dec. 27.

Hockey

After collecting its first win, the Raiders boys hockey team suffered a 5-0 loss to Reading at John A. Ryan Arena in Watertown. Watertown is now 1-3. The Raiders will be in action at home against Westborough on Dec. 30 at 7 p.m.

The girls hockey team is still searching for its first win. Watertown faced a tough Reading team, who won the Div. 1 State Title in 2015. On Wednesday the Raiders fell 5-0. The Raiders next take on Burlington at Ryan Arena on Jan. 2 at 2:30 p.m.
