A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 in the Church of Saint, at 11 a.m. for Lucy (Gentili) Santoro.

Mrs. Santoro was a daughter of the late Aristodemo and Irene (Volpini) Gentili. Lucy passed away on Thursday morning in her home after a period of declining health. She was 94.

Born in East Boston, her family moved to Watertown at age 14. She graduated from Watertown High School, Class of 1938. In 1948 she married Antonio and they raised four beautiful children together. Antonio passed away in January of 1986.

Lucy worked at Boston University as the secretary of the Personal Director. She sang in the choir of St. Theresa and St. Patrick churches. She also sang at many weddings in the area.

She loved music. Lucy also loved to knit and crochet. She traveled, but her greatest love was her grandchildren and family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio M. Santoro. Devoted mother of Anthony M. Santoro and his wife Joyce of Medford, Irene E. Santoro of Watertown, Mary M. Santoro of Medford and Anne L. Santoro and her husband John Levin of California. Loving grandmother of Jason and Christopher Santoro. Dear sister of John J. Gentili of Arizona and the late Santina Gentili-Salvoni.

Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. in Watertown on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 at 10 a.m., followed by Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

Visiting hours are Monday 4-8 p.m.

Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery.
