Tryouts for Christmas Revels will be held in Watertown on May 15 and 16.
The Revels seeks a diverse and talented volunteer chorus of adults and children to join our family for 17 performances of the Christmas Revels at Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre, Dec. 9-27, 2016, according to an announcement from the group.
The tryouts will be held at Grace Vision Church, 80 Mt. Auburn St. in Watertown on May 15 and 16, from 4-6 p.m. for children and 7-9 p.m. for adults.

This year’s Revels follows the original French immigrants who settled on the Canadian border but were lated forced southward by the British to a new home on along the Bayou in Louisiana. It will be filled with toe-tapping fiddling tunes, lifting Cajun two steps, gorgeous anthems and familiar touchstones like “Sussex Mummers Carol” and “Lord of the Dance.”
