On Saturday, Sept. 24, the Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry (ABMDR) is hosting its fifth Annual Walk of Life.

This fundraiser benefits ABMDR, an international non-profit organization that helps recruit bone marrow donors to match with patients suffering from life-threatening blood-related diseases. Due to their unique genetic makeup, people of Armenian descent worldwide have a higher percentage of finding a potential donor through the ABMDR.

The walk begins at 11 a.m. at the Armenian Cultural and Education Center (ACEC) at 47 Nichols Ave. and will end 2.2 miles later at the Faire on the Square at Saltonstall Park.

Please visit www.abmdr.am/ne-walk to register for the walk-athon or to sponsor a participant. Individuals and teams can register on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the ACEC.
