Did you know that over 25 percent of Americans over the age of 75 have some form of vision impairment and that over the age of 85, one out of three of elders are suffering from low vision?

Join us Oct. 19 at The Residence at Watertown Square from 5-7 p.m. for a movie and panel discussion on low vision.

A 50 minute film on vision loss will be shown. The movie looks at each aspect of vision loss; detecting, treating and coping.

The movie will be followed by a discussion with Robert McGillivray, certified Low Vision Therapist, to provide the opportunity to talk about how better coordination of professional services and earlier referrals to low vision therapy and new technology can vastly improve the quality of people’s lives. Adaptive devices will be demonstrated as well.

RSVP Laurie Gaines at 617-924-8100 or lgaines@residencewatertown.com
