James “Jimmy” McCarthy

A funeral service for James L. “Jimmy” McCarthy will be held on Tuesday November 22, 2016 at the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, Watertown at 11 a.m.

Jimmy was the only son of the late Francis L. and Mary E. (Wrenn) McCarthy. Jimmy passed away suddenly Friday November 18, 2016. He was 75.

Beloved husband of 44 years to Mary Ann (Mastrangelo) McCarthy. Brother-in- law of Joseph Mastrangelo of Winthrop & Thomas Mastrangelo of Danvers. Loving uncle to Jeffrey & Eric Mastrangelo. Dear friend of William & Joan Palumbo. Affectionately known as “Uncle Jimmy” to countless young people who enjoyed his quick humor.

Jimmy was a graduate of Watertown High School class of 1958. A member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 14 in Watertown. Jimmy worked as a computer specialist for John Hancock. He was also an avid sports fan of the local teams, with a true passion for the Black & Gold of the Bruins.

A Funeral Service will be held in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown on Tuesday Nov. 22 at 11 a.m.

Relatives and friends kindly invited.

Interment Newton Cemetery.

Visiting hours on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jimmy’s name can be made to the charity of your choice.
