A Funeral Mass for Clementine M. “Clemy” (Van Huychem) McDermott, will be celebrated on Friday June 23, 2017 at 9 a.m., in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown.

A daughter of the late Joseph and Leonie (Van Dist) Van Huychem. Passed away in her home on Monday evening after a period of declining health. She was 91.

Clemy was born and schooled in Belgium. She met her late husband Henry during World War II. She came to the United States in 1946. She was the owner of Clemy’s Knit & Yarn Shop in Watertown Square for 18 years. She also was a teller for BayBank in Watertown Square for 15 years.

She was the beloved wife of the late Henry McDermott. Clemy is survived by her “second” family Michael & Kacy D’Amico and children Michael, Daniel, Matthew & Anthony. Dear sister of the late Alice Van Huychem, Louise Van Huychem, Alphonse Van Huychem, Everist Van Huychem, Franz Van Huychem and Jean Van Huychem. She also leaves 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew in Belgium.

Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown on Friday June 23, at 8 a.m., followed by Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

Visiting hours Thursday from 5-7 p.m.

Interment St. Patrick Cemetery.
