OBIT: Paul Menton, 92, Former Judge, Watertown State Representative

Watertown’s Paul Menton, who served as a judge and a state representative for the town, died on July 16, 2017.

He was a lifelong resident of Watertown and left high school to join the Marines to serve in the Pacific during World War II.

Menton became a lawyer and then served Watertown in the State Legislature for a dozen years as the town’s State Representative.

He was appointed Associate Justice of the Cambridge District Court in 1986 and he served until he was 70.

Menton was also active in town, on the School Building Committee, Historical Commission, Fair Housing Committee and School Committee. He was also a member of the Pvt. Charles Shutt Detachment of the Marine Corps League.

His funeral was held on Saturday, July 22.
