A Memorial Funeral Service for Donald H. MacCalmon will be held in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 12 noon.

Mr. MacCalmon, a son of the late Herbert H. MacCalmon and Katherine Christine
(McKinnon) MacCalmon passed away in Boston on Friday afternoon. Donald was
89.

Donald served in the United States Army from October of 1946 to August of 1949.
During his time in the Army, Donald was a CPL with the 11th Airborne Division and he also received the WWII Victory Medal and the Occupation of Japan Medal.

Donald worked in sales in the field of computer education. He obtained a bachelors
degree and work diligently in his profession. In his personal life, Donald enjoyed
practicing Uechi-Ryu which is a traditional style of Okinawan Karate. Donald was so prolific in his craft he obtained a black belt in Uechi-Ryu.

He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia B. (Greenough) MacCalmon. Devoted father of Christine MacCalmon of Carlsbad, Calif., Donald S. MacCalmon & his wife Basiliza of Naugatuck, Conn., and Leslie M. Hayes & her husband Patrick of Watertown. Loving grandfather of Katherine & Brianna Hayes and Sydney MacCalmon. Dear brother of Norma Berio, Phyllis Derry, and the late Edith Stellberger, Norman MacCalmon, and Ruth McEachern.

A Funeral Service will be held in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, 270 Main St. Watertown on Monday Nov. 27, 2017 at 12:00 noon. Relatives & friends kindly invited.

Interment Ridgelawn Cemetery.

Visiting hours Monday from 10 a.m. – 12 p;m.
