The Tremedal Holiday Concert in Watertown features a twin bill of folk acts.

Dean Steven and Lorraine & Bennett Hammond will perform at First Parish Church, 35 Church St. in Watertown, on Friday, Dec. 15 at 8 p.m. Also that evening, colorful, creative crafts from Central America which make for nice holiday gifts will be on sale.

The Tremedal Concerts benefit the Watertown-El Salvador Sister City Project. Proceeds after expenses support the sister community of Nueva Esperanza, El Salvador, and regional projects in Chalatenango Province.

According to a review of Stevens’ music, “He has established himself as a formidable creator and interpreter of a wide spectrum of songs in English and Spanish. His own material explores a variety of personal and social topics, paints sketches of people and places, celebrates the Earth, and annoys the narrow minded.”

Lorraine and Bennett Hammond were described by Golden Link Folk Singing Newsletter as: “More than just good pickers, Lorraine and Bennett are singers with an ear for traditional and contemporary songs. They work seamlessly together, blending instruments and voices.”

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
