Christine Size and Kelly Kerber’s baby was not due until March 17, 2018, so the Watertown couple arranged to be married Feb. 28th by Watertown Justice of the Peace, Debra L. Smith Attorney at Law. But, the baby had other plans, according to the Mount Auburn Hospital.

The night before the marriage date, when Christine Size was at her prenatal yoga class her water broke. Committed to being wed before the baby was born, the couple called the Justice of the Peace and rescheduled the ceremony for this morning in the front of Mount Auburn Hospital.

When the night nurse got off her shift on the morning of the 28th, she ran out and picked up two bouquets of flowers, sparkling cider, and a cake in celebration of the ceremony. The couple was happily wed in the morning and soon after, Christine Size went into labor at Mount Auburn Hospital.

The couple’s baby boy Beckham was born March 1 at 2 p.m., according to the hospital. He weighed 7.5 pounds.

    • Such an ignorant response. This lucky little boy is coming into a beautiful family who will love whom and cherish. All the best to this beautiful and amazing family

      • I’m sorry for the confusion. I was honestly a bit hammered when I read the article and I was confused as I thought they were the biological parents. I wasn’t trying to be sarcastic or disrespectful.

  1. Google it, dude. Happens every day in 2018 and it’s certainly not the first time it’s happened in our town. This is a lovely article about a new member of our community and the first comment it gets met with is intolerance.
    Give us a break, James!
Congratulations all around, Christine and Kelly. Pay this no mind. Watertown welcomes you and the new baby. 🙂
