Mount Auburn Hospital Hosts Event on National Cancer Survivorship Day

Mount Auburn Hospital presents: Embracing Survivorship a free event celebrating National Cancer Survivorship Day on Sunday, June 3, 2018.

The day will feature keynote speakers Ricardo Wellisch, MD, an internist affiliated with Mount Auburn Hospital and Corinne Zimmerman, Director of Museum Education at the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum. Dr. Wellisch has been a primary care physician in practice for over twenty years and will speak about “Art is Healing.”

A light lunch will be provided followed by breakout sessions and concluding with a cancer survivor discussion panel.

Breakout sessions topics include:

  • Meditation and Labyrinth Walking
  • Yoga
  • Session One: Chair yoga
  • Session Two: Gentle floor yoga
  • Knitting for Health
  • Reiki & Community Acupuncture (Ear Only)
  • Mindful Eating
  • Painting Wellness

WHEN: Sunday, June 3rd, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
