Pick up some peaches this week at the Watertown Farmers’ Market.

The Watertown Farmers’ Market has cooking demonstrations, summer peaches and a chance to compost.

The Watertown Farmers’ Market sent out the following information:

This week at the Watertown Farmers’ Market from 5:15 – 6:15 p.m., community chef Gaia Sciaranghella will be preparing Mushroom Bruschetta with ingredients from our farmers and vendors. In honor of the event, Spring Brook Farm will be selling cheese to top off this delicious and healthy meal! More information can be found below.

Peaches made their appearance at the market last week. Stop by Wards Berry Farm and Spring Brook Farm throughout July and August to grab some of these fragrant, juicy beauties. Try them grilled for a knock-out side dish or a healthy summer dessert.

City Compost’s New Drop Off Program: 

City Compost is now offering the option for you to drop off your compost at the market!! Pick up your two gallon compost pail this week and save your scraps to bring to the market every Thursday!! Even if you are trying to compost at home use this service to be as sustainable as possible by composting your meat and diary too!! Sign up for the season at only $2 per week!!

The Watertown Farmers’ Market is open Thursdays from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Arsenal on the Charles.

Find us on the front green, immediately in front of the Mosesian Center for the Arts at the corner of Arsenal St. and Kingsbury Ave. We are right off of the MBTA bus 70 & 70A and there is free parking in the Arsenal Garage on Kingsbury Ave.
