Blanche E. Kasper of Worcester, formerly of Watertown, August 25, 2018.

Beloved wife of the late Andrew A. Kasper and the late Richard Hubbard. Like the planes she helped build in World War II, she was a Flying Fortress.

Blanche was the loving  mother of Carol Airasian and her husband George, Gretchen Silverman and her husband Harvey, Roberta Gollogly and her husband John, Heidi Wilhelm and her husband Douglas and the late Andrew Kasper and his wife Mary. Stepmother of Jane Hubbard Wyman and her husband David. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Blanche had a BA from Wellesley College and a Med from Boston University. She taught at LaSalle Jr. College, Rutland High School, Vt., and Rosary Academy. In 1981, as a member of the Watertown Conservation Commission, she helped create Arsenal Park.

Blanche was Past Worthy Matron of Order of Eastern Star, Belmont and past treasurer of the Daughters of the American Revolution – Worcester. Former member of ARRA (Rosie the Riveter Association).

Through her life, Blanche had many names: Blanche, Bambi, Mama, Wooly Mamouth, Blanche Neige and Nummie.

A Memorial visitation will be held at the Aram Bedrosian Funeral Home, 558 Mount Auburn Street, Watertown on Monday, September 10 from 3 – 5 p.m. Reverend Kevin Crispell to officiate. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Wellesley College or Mount Auburn Hospital.

Cemetery arrangements are private.
