Watertown’s Hatch Makerspace has a variety of workshops in September. See more information in the information provided by the Watertown Library below:

September Hours:
Tuesday – Friday from 1-9 pm
Saturday-Sunday 1-7 pm

Masks are required. Hatch will continue to follow all library closures. Curbside pickup is still available for 3D prints.

Intro to the Sewing Machine with Cheryl
Monday, September 13, 6 pm
Learn how to use a sewing machine. Use one of Hatch’s machines or bring your own!

Intro to EL Wire with Dan
Monday, September 20, 5 pm
Learn how to use EL Wire, a light up wire, to enhance your projects!

Beginner Arduino for Programmers with David
Monday, September 20, 7 pm
An introduction to Arduino for those with some programming experience.

Decorative Fabric Covered Composition Books with Cheryl
Monday, September 27, 5 pm
Piece together a fabric notebook cover. All materials provided. Familiarity with sewing machines necessary.

Introduction to Soldering with Bob
Monday, September 27, 7 pm
Create your own Japanese knot bag, an introductory sewing workshop.

There’s a new way to learn how to use the Hatch laser cutter
Appointments available Tuesday – Thursday

Schedule an appointment for yourself or a small group to “Learn the Laser Cutter.” This is the required training to use the Hatch laser cutter and the first step to becoming an independent user of the machine. Participants must be 16 or older. Book your appointment through the library website or by calling Hatch at (781) 795-2309.

Hatch Makerspace is located at 20 Summer Street in Watertown, MA. An extension of the Watertown Free Public Library, it is a public workshop with space, equipment, and materials available for your use.
