  1. There are plenty of places for recreational activities…LEAVE THIS ROAD OPEN. ITS A GREAT SHORTCUT AND ALLEVIATES TRAFFIC GOING THROUGH OTHER AREAS. AND THEY SHOULD ALSO MAKE AN ENTRANCE TO HOME DEPOT THERE….

  2. I’m a frequent cyclist but I still think this road should NOT be closed on weekdays – it’s barely used for recreation whenever I’ve been there when it was closed last year. Maybe just close it on weekends as Watertown originally suggested?

  3. I think the road should remain closed. From my perspective when I drive it does not provide any real value when I could just be driving on N Beacon/Arsenal/Soldiers (not much traffic alleviation when you account for waiting at the bad intersections). The biggest drawback of this road is its design – the intersection at N Beacon is very dangerous for drivers and pedestrians alike. Might as well just close it off.

Leave the parking lot to make it handicap accessible and just let it be open space so that the new development at arsenal can have direct access to the river. I really enjoy being able to run/bike along the river all the way through to Cambridge. Cambridge has huge success with closing Memorial Drive, this can be similar.
