Sign a Part of the New Watertown High School, Ceremony Will Celebrate Construction Milestone

A major milestone will be reached this week in the Watertown High School project when the last beam for the steel structure will be put into place. A topping off ceremony will be held on Wednesday, and the public is invited to come before hand and sign the beam, and to attend the ceremony.

The Watertown Public Schools sent out the following information:

Major WHS construction news! A topping off ceremony will be held at 4 pm on Wednesday (6/5/24). 

The public is also invited to sign the ceremonial beam. 

Monday/Tuesday : 2-5 pm (Broadway construction gate)

Wednesday: 3-3:45 pm (Common Street gate). 

Sharpies will be provided

  1. Great opportunity to memorialize a historic project for the town. It’s a shame the 8th Graders are away in DC. for their class trip and will miss this ceremony. I wish they would have coordinated this to accommodate one of the first few graduating classes.
