Hear About the Arsenal Corridor at the Watertown Business Coalition’s After Hours Event

Watertown’s Commander’s Mansion. A panel of people familiar with business and development on the Arsenal Street Corridor will speak at the Watertown Business Coalition’s After Hours event on Thursday night. The WBC invites those interested to its next event on Thursday, March 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Watertown Commander’s Mansion, 440 Talcott Avenue, Watertown (the Arsenal on the Charles). There will also be time for networking at the free event. The panelists are:

Over the weekend, audiences enjoyed three performances of theWatertown High School Dramatic Arts Program’s production of the musical “Chicago” the high school edition. The show featured 16 songs, most of which also featured the dancing of WHS’s actors. The Married Murderesses and Billy Flynn perform a number during the Watertown High School production of “Chicago.”

Sign Up for the 2020 Watertown Town-Wide Spelling Bee

The 10th annual Watertown Town-wide Spelling Bee is coming up and teams can sign up now. This year’s spelling bee will be on Sunday, March 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and it will be held at the Hosmer Elementary School Auditorium. The money raise during the spelling bee will go to help the Watertown Public Schools. The spelling be is open to all Watertown elementary school students in grades 1 through 5. To register team of three students costs $60, and T-shirts are available for $15.

Movie Theater Open, New Restaurant Debuting Soon at Arsenal Yards

The Majestic 7 movie theaters have opened at Arsenal Yards. Watertown once again has a place to see a movie, with the opening of the multiscreen cinema in Arsenal Yards, and diners will soon have a new option in the former Arsenal Mall. The Majestic 7 features first run films in seven theaters, including one with a giant screen and high-tech sound. The experience is dubbed CWX and is similar to the IMAX technology. The giant screen in the CWX theater at The Majestic 7 in Watertown’s Arsenal Yards.
