Hal McIntyre Orchestra Playing at Free Watertown Veteran’s Day Concert

Watertown will hold a free concert honoring our Veterans and featuring the World Famous Hal McIntyre Orchestra, announced the Watertown Veteran’s Services Office. The band was founded by Hal McIntyre, and now is lead by Watertown’s own Don Pentleton, who played drums with the Glen Miller Band, the Guy Lombardo Orchestra, and with Skitch Henderson and Ella Fitzgerald. The concert will be a tribute to Peggy Lee and features Broadway’s own Jody Ebling. The event will be on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 at the Watertown Middle School, 68 Waverley Ave., Watertown, from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Watertown Veteran’s Agent Mark Comeiro wrote: “This event is open to the Public as it would be an honor to have the residents of Watertown attend this very special event.”

Celebrate Little Golden Books’ 75th Birthday with the Watertown Family Network at the Watertown Mall on Wednesday, October 18 at 10 a.m.! Join the Watertown Family Network and the Watertown Mall to celebrate Little Golden Book’s 75th birthday and hear the stories that we all grew up with as children. There will be songs, stories and surprises for kids of all ages. We will be raffling off Little Golden Books to add to your collection!

Halloween Activities at the Commander’s Mansion’s ‘Lil Monster Mash

Watertown Family Network Hosts Touch the Trucks Event

On Nov. 4, the Watertown Family Network will host a Touch the Trucks event in the parking lot behind the Senior Center and Watertown Public School offices. The Watertown Family Network sent out the following announcement:

This is an opportunity for you and your children to see big trucks, a school bus, police car, moving van among others up close. See what it is like to be in the driver’s seat of these big and exciting vehicles and introduce your children to our community helpers. Saturday, November 4th, 2017 10:00 to 11:30 am in the parking lot of 30 Common St.

Watertown Library Has Wide Variety of Events in October

October is a busy month at the Watertown Free Public Library with a day to preserve your photos and letters, a citizenship class, an author talk and many more activities. The library will be closed on Columbus Day – Oct. 9, 2017 – but there are many other activities when it is open. The Watertown Free Public Library sent out the following information:
