OBIT: Michael Goyetche, 1976 WHS Grad, Standout Athlete

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday June 7th, 2016 at the Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St., Waltham at 10:30 a.m. for Michael E. Goyetche. Mike was the beloved son of the late Henry E. & Stella M. (Harvey) Goyetche. He passed away in Boston on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 after a long illness. He was 58. Devoted brother of Jeannette M. Goyetche and her husband Jerry Hoffman of California, Paul H., and the late Richard J. Goyetche. Loving uncle of Lucas M. and Geena N. Hoffman.

OBIT: Bob Galante, 39, Director of Camp Pequossette, Coached Pop Warner

Watertown Recreation Director Peter Centola sent out the following tribute to Bob Galante, director of the Camp Pequossette summer program, who died on April 19, 2016 at the age of 39. I realize many of you may have heard the tragic news of Bob Galante’s passing earlier this week, but I just wanted to make sure each of you knew about the services today and Saturday and a little more about his history with the Watertown Recreation Department and Camp Pequossette. Bob has led a life of service to our community since his early teen ages up until his passing. Those of you might know him from his coaching days at Pop Warner Football, others his Kids and Common program and of course his outstanding contributions to the Lowell School. Bob begin his service to the Watertown Community through the Recreation Department as early as 1989 when he was hired as a Counselor In Training for Camp Pequossette.

Memorial Planned for Longtime Watertown Resident, Ann Bloom

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Ann Bloom, a long time Watertown resident and former Library Trustee, will be held on Saturday, April 30. She passed away in January 2016. The service on April 30 will be held at at 1 p.m. at the First Parish of Watertown, Unitarian Universalist, 35 Church St. in Watertown. Refreshments following the service.

OBIT: Richard ‘Dick’ Krueger, 84, Navy Vet, Member of AmVets, Eagles

A Funeral Home Service will be held in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home – Watertown on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 10 a.m. for Richard L. “Dick” Krueger. Dick was a son of the late Herman & Mary (Holmes) Krueger. He passed away Monday morning in the Wayside Hospice, Wayland after a period of declining health. Dick was 84. Dick and Jean met in Boston while Dick was serving in the U.S. Navy. Dick was born in Edgerton, Wis.

OBIT: Mary R. Fahey, 89, St. Patrick’s High School Graduate

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown on Friday April 8, 2016 at 9 a.m., for Mary R. (O’Rourke) Fahey. Mrs. Fahey, a daughter of the late Patrick & Margaret (Fahey) O’Rourke past away Tuesday evening, April 5, 2016 in Worcester, she was 89. Born in Dorchester, she was moved to Watertown at a young age, graduating from St. Patrick High School. She was the beloved wife for 55 years of James P. Fahey. Devoted mother of Paul J. of Somerville, Michael P. & his wife Denise of Holden, Eileen M. of Waltham, Stephen J. of Franklin, and Ann M Russo & her husband Brian, Sr. of Holden.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 10 a.m. in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, Watertown for James P. Ferdinand, Sr.

Jim was a son of the late James E. and Mary (Costa) Ferdinand. He passed away in the Nashua Crossing Health Care, Nashua, NH, on Friday morning after a long illness. He was 82. Born in Cambridge, Jim joind the US Coast Guard. He was a self-employed painting contractor. A member of the Nonantum Post 440, Newton, enjoyed league bowling and enjoyed boating.

OBIT: Frank McManus, 74, Painter, Loved to Cook for His Big Family

A graveside service will be held on Friday April 1, 2016 at the St. Patrick Cemetery, Watertown at 10:30 am for Francis “Frank” McManus. Frank was the beloved son of the late Helen and Charles McManus of Watertown. He passed away in Derry, New Hampshire on Sunday morning while visiting family. He was 74. “Pudgie” as he was known to his family and friends, was a lifelong Watertown resident before moving to Franklin in 2014.
