Police Log: Man Attacked After Following Car Home, Driver Busted on OUI

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
Dec. 17, 1:23 a.m.: An officer patrolling in Watertown Square spotted a vehicle in the left turn lane on Main Street go straight when the left arrow was green by the light for straight was red. The officer followed and saw the vehicle weave over the center line multiple times. The officer pulled over the driver on Arsenal Street and observed signs of intoxication.

Watertown Police Chief Lifts Winter Parking Ban for Holidays

With the Holidays fast approaching, the Watertown Police Department recognizes the need for additional overnight parking to accommodate visiting family members and friends. Chief of Police Michael P. Lawn wishes to announce that effective December 23, 2016 officers will temporarily stop enforcing the All Night Parking Ban – barring any snowfall that would require plowing or sanding. Should there be a snow event please refer to the town website for available off-street parking locations. Chief Lawn still encourages all homeowners to use available off street parking during the overnight hours. Enforcement of the All Night Parking ban will resume on January 3, 2017.

Watertown Police Officer Gets the Hollywood Treatment for ‘Patriots Day’ Movie

The past several months have been a whirlwind Hollywood experience for Watertown Police Sgt. Jeff Pugliese. As one of the Watertown Police officers who faced off in a firefight with the Boston Marathon Bombers, Pugliese is portrayed in the movie “Patriots Day,” by veteran actor J.K. Simmons. Wednesday night, Pugliese and his wife attended the first Boston premiere of the movie (which stars Mark Wahlberg) at the Wang Theater, and before Thanksgiving the couple was whisked off to Los Angeles for the premiere. “We got the red carpet treatment in L.A. It was an experience,” Pugliese said.

Police: Missing Watertown Man Has Been Found

The 20-year old Watertown man who was reported missing this week has been located and is safe. The Watertown Police announced that Devon Casseus has located and he is safe, adding “Thank you for your assistance.” Casseus had been reported missing by his family on Dec. 6.

ALERT: Watertown Police Seeks Help Finding a Man Reported Missing

The Watertown Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 20-year-old man from Watertown. Devon Casseus was reported missing yesterday, December 6, 2016, by his family. He was last seen at 5 a.m. at his work place, Dunkin Donuts, 25 Church St. Belmont (Waverley Square). Devon may be in need of medical attention.
