With a collection of tens of thousands of historic post cards, Watertown’s Kathryn Alpert had a wealth of choices for her new book “Lost & Found: Historic Boston in Post Cards.” Watertown News spoke with Alpert about the creation of her book.

The Department of Public Works has partnered with the Great American Rain Barrel Company in Hyde Park to offer recycled rain barrels at a discounted price to residents as part of its water conservation and stormwater management programs.
Thursday night, the owners of the former Arsenal Mall showed their first drawings of their vision for the renovated mall, which will have buildings with retail and residential units and tall one large one with just residential units.
Watertown Farmers Market opens for its third season on Thursday, June 2 at 2 p.m. in a fresh, highly visible location. Find 20 weekly vendors on the front green of the Arsenal on the Charles, right on Arsenal Street in front of Arsenal Center for the Arts.
