District A Council Candidates Respond to East End Neighbors Issues

As the temperatures rose to dangerous levels in the first week of July, a group in Watertown leapt into action delivering air conditioners to those who need them, and which had been donated by other residents.
The East End Neighbors group submitted the following responses from the candidates for District A Town Councilor.

Editor,
I have two kids in elementary school. We have had great experiences with teachers, our own school and the Watertown school system in general. I support Watertown teachers and schools absolutely.
The Raiders hit the road as the sixth seed of the state tournament, and handed Lynnfield only its second loss of the season Friday night.
The developer of the hotel project rejected by the Watertown Zoning Board of Appeals has taken the town to state Land Court to appeal the decision.
Watertown Police arrested a Waltham man for allegedly texting obscene pictures to a teen-aged boy.

Dear Watertown,
I ask for your vote for School Committee on November 3, 2015. I am a firm believer in public education—it is the mechanism societies use to prepare children to flourish in a modern world. Public schools are one of the best possible economic investments a community can make.
With two goals on Tuesday, Stonehill College field hockey player and WHS alumna Erika Kelly set a new Northeast-10 Conference scoring record.
