Businesses in Coolidge Square will face some disruptions from the construction taking place over the spring, summer, and fall of 2026. Sidewalks will be ripped up and replaced as part of the Mt. Auburn Street Project.

Wednesday afternoon, School Committee members, City Councilors and others got to see the new classrooms, theater, gym, and media center that will be enjoyed by Watertown High School students starting in September.

Nine years after losing one of its own, the Watertown Fire Department paid honored to Firefighter Joe Toscano just down the street from where he lost his life. The annual event held at the time of his passing brings together members of the WFD, Toscano’s family, and others who remember the tragic day.
The retailers and restaurants Arsenal Yards has a variety of events coming up, starting with a Valentine’s Day activity. Also check out a comedy show, a scavenger hunt and a networking event.

Michael J. Driscoll, Retired Watertown City Manger, Age 70, of Watertown & East Dennis, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday February 11, 2023.
Charlie BreitroseThe first three modular sections that will be part of the temporary Watertown High School were delivered to Moxley Field on Friday.
The first sections of modular classrooms arrived at Moxley Field Friday, and will continue to trickle in until there are enough to build a two-story temporary campus to house Watertown High School during the construction of the new building.
Pianist John Kramer will perform at Watertown’s First Parish Church on Saturday, March 4 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will benefit the Helen Robinson Wright Charitable Fund.
Sports, robots, adult programs and more are available during the Watertown Recreation Department’s Winter II session.
