Approximately 1,300 people of all ages attended the No Kings III Protest in Watertown Square which was sponsored by Indivisible Progressive Watertown. Music was provided by Watertown’s own band “Rosie and the Resisters.”

A fire charred the back of a home on Waverley Avenue Wednesday afternoon and displaced three residents.
A discussion of the Supreme Court’s decision on Roe v. Wade will be held in Watertown over two evenings.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 20 from 6:45 until 8:30 p.m. Via Zoom. The topic will be Ukraine and the Growing Danger of Nuclear Weapons.

I am speaking to you about my concern over the long-standing problems within our Health Department. My information is from my attendance at Board of Health meetings, a review of minutes of public meetings, and my communications with members of the community and City staff.
The bad news is that water and sewer rates will be rising for Watertown residents, the good news is that the rate hike will not be as big as it could have been due to a new rate system approved by the City Council Tuesday night.
A vigil for the victims of gun violence will be held in Watertown Square on Thursday, July 14 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. All are welcome.
