The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
Aug. 15, 9:06 a.m.: An officer patrolling in Coolidge Square spotted a driver make an illegal maneuver and police pulled the car over. While speaking with the driver, the woman gave officers what turned out to be her sister’s drivers license. When police said the owner of the license had two arrest warrants, the driver admitted it was not hers.

Police Nab Three Men for Breaking Into Watertown Gas Station

The Watertown Police identified and arrested three men in connection of a recent nighttime break in of a gas station in town. On July 25, 2016 it was reported to the Watertown Police Department that a breaking and entering had occurred during the overnight hours at 600 Main Street, AAA Auto Clinic, the WPD announced. During this break, suspects had chiseled through an exterior concrete wall, into the office, where the suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash. As a result of an investigation by the Watertown Police Detective Division, arrests warrants were obtained and executed on Joseph Elwell of 26 Briarwood Lane, Marlborough, and Sabino Aviles of 81 Nichols Road Framingham, for charges related to Breaking and Entering at Nighttime, Larceny over $250, and Breaking into a Depository, according to the Watertown Police. Kevin Szydlowski of 16 Essex St., Watertown, was criminally charged and summoned to court for his role in the crime, police announced.

July 26, 3:35 p.m.: A woman was stopped at Target after she was seen taking several items of women’s clothing into the fitting room and came out with items in her bag. She tried to walk past the registers without paying. The 21-year-old South Boston woman was arrested on a charge of shoplifting by concealing merchandise. July 27, 6:45 p.m.: Police were called to Longfellow Road after a resident reported a man walking up and down the street trying to open car doors. When officers stopped the man, police checked his record and found he had several warrants out of Lowell District Court: the first was a default warrant; the second was for two counts of receiving stolen properties over $250; the third was for larceny over $250, possession to distribute a Class C drug, and possession of a Class B drug; the fourth was for four counts of receiving stolen property over $250 and four counts of larceny over $250 by false pretense; the fifth was for possession of a Class A drug and possession of a Class E drug; and the sixth was a default warrant.

Police Log: Man Caught Trying to Sell Stolen Downspouts, Laundry Taken

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. 
Arrest
July 18, 8:30 p.m.: A man was stopped by security at Marshall’s after he was seen placing multiple items into shopping bags and then attempted to leave the store without paying. He had assorted men’s and women’s clothing, worth $82.92. The 42-year-old Newton man was arrested for shoplifting. Incidents
July 19, 11:10 a.m.: A Morrison Road resident heard loud banging outside her home around 11:30 p.m. on the 18th. When she looked out she didn’t see anything, but the next morning she went out and found several dents on the driver side front door.

Police Log: Pair Nabbed With Bags Full of Stolen Cellphones, Clothes

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
July 11, 12:10 a.m.: An officer driving near Bemis Park spotted two people he recognized from previous incidents and noticed the woman acting suspiciously. She was standing in front of Bemis Market and then crouched behind a car and appeared to be attempting to hide from the officer. At the same time a car alarm went off. The woman was seen walking quickly away from the vehicle.

Man Arrested After Wielding Machete During Road Rage Incident

A road rage incident took an unusual turn when a man upset with another driver pulled a machete from his car and threatened the other driver in the Home Depot parking lot. 

At 2:45 p.m. on July 11, a man called police to report being threatened by another driver, said Watertown Police Lt. James O’Connor. The man who reported the incident told police he was being tailgated while driving on Arsenal Street. He then pulled into the mall parking lot, and the suspect followed him. “The victim stopped at a stop sign in the parking lot, and the arrestee drove around the car and parked in front of him,” O’Connor said. “The man reversed his truck and backed into the the vehicle intentionally, causing minor damage.”
