Man Refuses to Stop Honking Horn, Gets Arrested on OUI Charge

An driver paid for his impatience and was arrested on an OUI charge after he would not stop blowing his horn when a police officer asked. 

On Dec. 8 at 4:27 p.m., an officer was directing traffic after an accident at Galen Street and Nonantum Road when he heard a driver blowing his horn non-stop. As the vehicle approached the officer the driver continued to lean on the horn. The officer said there was an accident with injuries and told him he should stop blowing his horn, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. “The operator stopped, threw his hands in the air and stared at the officer,” Lawn said.

Police Log: Home Broken Into, Christmas Decorations Stolen

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
Dec. 1, 5:27 p.m.:  A woman was spotted in Target taking out an empty bag and filling it with numerous items and tried to leave the store without paying. The items were worth a total of $488. While police investigated the incident they found she had a pill container with various medications inside.

Nov. 25, 4:59 p.m.: A man recognized by employees at the Watertown Street Stop & Shop from previous incidents was seen back in the store. He was seen taking several items, putting them in a cart and left the store. He was caught with $48.28 worth of merchandise.

Watertown Police Catch Woman Wanted for Trying to Run Over Officer

Watertown Police tracked down and arrested a woman wanted for allegedly trying to rundown an officer during an incident on Coolidge Avenue earlier this month. On Nov. 12, police responded to a disturbance at 131 Coolidge Ave. involving a woman they later identified as 28-year-old Deanna Beaucher of Reading. After the incident, police discovered she had given them a fake name, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

Police Log: Man Busted for OUI Drugs; Home Broken Into Through Window

Nov. 17, 2:17 a.m.: An officer patrolling on Mt. Auburn Street spotted a man in 7-Eleven who he knew was wanted on a warrant. The 27-year-old Watertown man was arrested on the warrant from Brighton District Court for traffic offenses.

Nov. 9, 5:42 p.m.: A woman was stopped in the Gap Outlet after she was seen taking clothing and putting it in her purse and attempted to leave. She had $130 worth of items. The 22-year-old Cambridge woman was arrested for shoplifting. Nov.

Police Log: Man Breaks into Home Mistaking it for his Girlfriends’ and More

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
Nov. 3, 1:46 p.m.: An employee of a jewelry cart at the Watertown Mall complained about being harassed by a man. Police questioned the 41-year-old man from Watertown and found he had a warrant for a probation violation. The man was arrested.

Oct. 27, 2:03 a.m.: Police talked to a man who was stopped on Nichols Avenue. He said he was in the area looking for a friend’s house. When police ran an inquiry, they found the man was wanted on a warrant.
