Local Students Earn Honors at Simmons, Southern New Hampshire

The following students were recognized for their academic performance at Simmons University and Southern New Hampshire University during the spring and summer semesters, respectively. The following information was provided by the universities:

To qualify for dean’s list status, undergraduate students must obtain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, based on 12 or more credit hours of work in classes using the letter grade system. Southern New Hampshire University

Watertown Student Makes Wentworth’s Dean’s List

Wentworth Institute of Technology sent out the following announcement:

Watertown Student Makes University of Maine’s Fall 2021 Dean’s List

The following announcement was provided by the University of Maine:

The University of Maine recognized 3,102 students for achieving Dean’s List honors in the fall 2021 semester. Of the students who made the Dean’s List, 2,025 are from Maine, 1,009 are from 39 other states and 68 are from 25 countries other than the U.S.

One student on the Dean’s List was Watertown’s Caileigh Sullivan. To be eligible for the Full-time Dean’s List, a student must have completed 12 or more calculable credits in the semester and have earned a 3.50 or higher semester GPA. Students who have part-time status during both the fall and spring semesters of a given academic year are eligible for Part-time Dean’s List. They must have completed 12 or more calculable credits over both terms and have earned a combined GPA in those terms of 3.50 or higher.

Watertown Student Makes UMaine’s Spring 2021 Dean’s List

The University of Maine provided the following announcement:

The University of Maine recognized 3,670 students for achieving Dean’s List honors in the spring 2021 semester. Of the students who made the Dean’s List, 2,392 are from Maine, 1,195 are from 39 other states and 83 are from 35 countries other than the U.S.

Due to the unusual and challenging circumstances faced this semester amid the global pandemic, the university has modified its Dean’s List policy for the spring 2021 term. The requirement that students earn 12 calculable credits to be eligible for Dean’s List has been waived. Instead, students will be eligible if they earned a minimum of nine letter-graded (A–F on the transcript) credits for full-time students in addition to the criteria in the catalog. For part-time students to be eligible, they must have earned at least six letter-graded credits across the fall 2020 and spring 2021 semesters, in addition to the criteria in the catalog for Part-time Dean’s List.

Watertown Student Makes UMaine’s Fall 2020 Dean’s List

The following information was provided by the University of Maine:

The University of Maine recognized 4,133 students for achieving Dean’s List honors in the fall 2020 semester. Of the students who made the Dean’s List, 2,670 are from Maine, 1,366 are from 38 other states and 97 are from 35 countries other than the U.S.

Due to the unusual and challenging circumstances faced this semester amid the global pandemic, the university has modified its Dean’s List policy for the fall 2020 term. The requirement that students earn 12 calculable credits to be eligible for Dean’s List has been waived. Instead, students will be eligible 1) if they earned Dean’s List recognition in spring 2020 and have placed all of their fall 2020 courses on pass/fail; or 2) if they have earned a minimum GPA of a 3.5, regardless of the number of credits taken, in fall 2020. Please note that some students have requested that their information not be released; therefore, their names are not included.

Three Watertown Students Make Spring Dean’s List at UMaine

The following information was provided by the University of Maine:

The University of Maine recognized 4,210 students for achieving Dean’s List honors in the Spring 2020 semester. Of the students who made the Dean’s List, 2,769 are from Maine, 1,333 are from 41 other states and 108 are from 43 countries other than the U.S.
