Oct. 1, 12:17 a.m.: A man who had been living in California and had an outstanding warrant called police to clear up the warrant. Officers went to Mt. Auburn Street and discovered the man had a warrant from Cambridge District Court for false reporting of crime.
Police went to Church Lane early on the morning of Oct. 1 for a disturbance involving two men, one of whom was wanted on multiple arrest warrants. One of the men gave officers a false name, but police were able to determine his real identity, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. They also found he had three outstanding warrants. Adam J. Swindell of Watertown was arrested on three warrants from Salem District Court – one for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, one for threatening to commit a crime and one for shoplifting, Lawn said.

Sept. 22, 4:39 p.m.: An officer patrolling on Mt. Auburn Street stopped a vehicle and discovered the driver had a suspended license. The 42-year-old Watertown man was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Watertown Police located a car reported stolen and arrested two women. Police received a report to be on the look out for a black Audi stolen from Boston. “An officer parked on Main and Church streets observed a black Audi on Church Street heading toward Main,” said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. The officer stopped the car and talked to the two women inside. “Both women refused to answer any questions about the motor vehicle,” Lawn said.

Sept. 16, 6:42 p.m.: Police were send to Main Street for a report of a man who was possibly intoxicated. They found a man who was taken into protective custody because he was intoxicated and they discovered he had a warrant. The 53-year-old man from Newton was arrested on the warrant from Boston District Court for larceny.

Arrests
Sept. 10, 8:17 a.m.: An officer patrolling spotted a car speeding on Mt. Auburn Street. When he pulled over the car, the officer discovered the driver had a revoked license and a warrant. The 41-year-old man from Waltham was arrested for driving with a revoked license, speeding and a warrant for traffic violations from Concord District Court.
Police arrested a man after he allegedly pulled a gun on two women at the Super 8 Motel and took their money during the wee hours of Sept. 8. The women received a call from the man after they posted an ad online offering escort services, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. The man arrived about 2:37 a.m.
“The suspect pulled a gun on the two females and robbed them at gunpoint of money, IDs and other personal items,” Lawn said. The man ripped the phone out of the wall at the motel, and took the women’s cell phones, and then he fled the hotel, Lawn said.
