OBIT: Donald E. Kelley Sr., 81, Army Veteran, Master Pipefitter

A prayer service for Donald E. Kelley, Sr. will be celebrated on the Thursday evening at 6 p.m. in the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, Watertown.

Mr. Kelley, a son of the late Charles E. Kelley and Genevieve A. (Fordan) Kelley passed away on Friday July 14, 2017 in St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire. Donald was 81.

Donald was born Newton, MA and raised in Watertown. He was a graduate Watertown High School. After High School, Donald enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict where he earned the rank of Specialist 2nd Class before being honorable discharged in 1956. After the Army, Donald worked as a master pipefitter for the federal government. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and also a member of many clubs and organizations including the Sportsman’s Club, the Irish American Club in Arlington, the V.F.W. and the AmVets.

Beloved husband of Anne F. (Dezotell) Kelley. Devoted father of Donald E. “Butch” Kelley, Jr. & his wife Betty of Framingham and David C. Kelley & his wife Deborah of Waltham. Loving grandfather of Jordan N. Kelley.

A prayer service for Donald will be held in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., Watertown on Thursday July 20, 2017 at 6 p.m.

Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-6 p.m.
