The following information was provided by the Watertown Health Department:
The Town of Watertown is pleased to announce the 2019 schedule for collection of Household Hazardous Waste Products.
As in the past years, the collection will take place at the Minuteman Household Hazardous Products Facility at 60 Hartwell Avenue, Lexington from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the following dates (which are Saturdays unless otherwise indicated):
• April 20th
• May 18th
• June 15th
• July 20th
• August 17th
• September 15th (this is a SUNDAY)
• October 19th
• November 2nd
This event is free of charge to Watertown residents. Advanced registration is not required; Watertown residents must have an identification or utility bill displaying your Watertown address to dispose of materials at a collection event.
Acceptable and unacceptable materials: Certain materials are not accepted as household hazardous waste at the collection event. Please view the list of acceptable and unacceptable materials on the Household Hazardous Waste webpage of the Health Department website at https://www.watertownma.gov/832/Household-Hazardous-Waste.
Transportation safety tips: Please remember to ensure waste containers are secured for transport; never mix chemicals; store different items in different boxes; always leave materials in their original containers; and do not smoke while handling or transporting materials.
