Join the Open House!

The City of Watertown invites you on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, between 3-8 PM to 9 Galen Street for the Watertown Square Implementation Open House!Stop in anytime between 3-8 PM to visit stations that will inform you more about the Demonstration Project and the Urban Revitalization Plan. 

Topics that you can engage with at the Open House include:

A detailed outline of the drafted Demonstration Project Plan, as presented by City Manager Proakis in April.

Guided tours of Demonstration Project area with members of the project team.

An introduction to what an “Urban Revitalization Plan” entails.

And an opportunity to ask questions and give feedback directly to the project team.

Parking for the open house is available on-site at 9 Galen Street. The access to the surface level parking lots is off of Pleasant Street, highlighted in orange on the above map. Please use the surface level parking lots. You can follow signage on-site to assist with parking and entering the building for the open house. You can use the below links for both Google Maps and Apple Maps directions to the parking lot. 

Get Caught Up on the Latest Project Updates!

City Manager George Proakis presented to a full house at the Watertown Free Public Library on April 6, 2026, updating the community about the Demonstration Project and Revitalization Plan, and proposing an idea for development on the current municipal parking lot behind CVS in the Square. You can watch back the presentation and answers to all of the questions from the attendees. You can also provide comments to the City and submit questions for staff to respond to.
