Daniel Lander is proud to announce that his campaign for State Senate has earned the endorsement of Progressive Victory, a national organization at the forefront of digital-first political organizing. The endorsement highlights growing momentum for Lander’s campaign, signaling that Lander’s vision for a more effective state government is a top priority for progressive activists here in Massachusetts.
Progressive Victory has worked alongside transformative national leaders such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Ro Khanna, and Texas State Rep. James Talarico. They are supporting the Lander campaign because of his focus on taking on the broken status quo in the Massachusetts State Senate.
“I am so proud to receive the endorsement of Progressive Victory in this race. They have been organizing across our state and country to build a more progressive and inclusive future,” said Daniel Lander, Candidate for State Senate. “I am proud to build power alongside them to take on the broken status quo on Beacon Hill, and make our state more affordable. I am honored to have their support in this fight as we work to build a Massachusetts where everyone can build a good life.”
“Progressive Victory is an organization that aims to give young, disaffected Americans who primarily engage with politics online the skills and infrastructure they need to organize and win with progressive campaigns. We in Massachusetts believe that our State Legislature is emblematic of so many of the issues that lead to this disaffection, where political capital is used to protect leadership instead of working to improve the lives of Bay Staters. That’s why we’re proud to endorse Daniel Lander for State Senate in the Suffolk and Middlesex district. He has consistently voiced the need to act with urgency to solve the affordability and housing crises, stand up to overreach from the federal government, and make the least productive and transparent state legislature in the country work for its constituents instead of against them,” said Persephone Hoxha, New England Lead for Progressive Victory.
Progressive Victory operates as a “digital third place,” connecting thousands of volunteers through online forums and streaming communities. They chose to back Lander because his campaign matches their mission: using new modes of organizing to challenge the status quo and ensure that our government fights for working people.
Daniel Lander is running for State Senate to take on the broken status quo and make Beacon Hill work for the people. He grew up in this district, and has worked alongside leaders like Senator Elizabeth Warren, Stacey Abrams, and Mayor Michelle Wu. Daniel believes Massachusetts can be more affordable, and a great place to build a good life. He will tackle our housing crisis, work to transform the MBTA, and stand up to the Trump Administration. The Suffolk and Middlesex District includes all of Watertown, Belmont, as well as the Fenway and Allston Brighton neighborhoods of Boston, and West Cambridge.
