The Watertown Veterans Council invites the public to attend Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. On Wednesday, December 7, 2016, The Watertown Veterans Council will be hosting a Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Ceremony located at the Charles River Dock, Watertown, MA 02472. Watertown Boy’s & Girl’s Club Receives $15K Donation from TD Bank

The TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank, announced the recent donation a total of $15,000 to Watertown Boys & Girls Club as part of the foundation’s commitment to giving back to the community. Watertown Boys & Girls Club has been a leading youth development organization in our community since 1972. The Club serves children ages 7-18 through programming aimed at producing positive outcomes in the areas of Academic Success, Healthy Living, and Character Development. WHS Grad Gabriella Coppola Named Conference Player of the Week

Endicott College junior guard Gabriella Coppola (Watertown, Mass.) has been recognized as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week for her efforts during the week of Nov. 21- Nov. 27, as announced today by the conference office, the CCC announced. Coppola, a first-time CCC recipient, helped the Gulls to an exciting non-conference victory at Keene State on Tuesday as she scored a career-high 19 points, dished out three assists, and registered a game-high/career-high seven steals in the contest. OBIT: Frances Loretta DeSantis, 92, Owned 3 Restaurants with Husband

A Funeral Home Service will be held in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, Watertown on Thursday December 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. for Frances Loretta (DiGiacomandrea) DeSantis. Mrs. DeSantis passed away on Sunday morning in the Briarwood Care, Needham, after a period of declining health. She was 92. Born in Watertown, she was a lifelong resident. She attended Watertown schools.

MassBay College Hosting Tech Internship Speed Interviewing Event

Massachusetts Bay Community College’s STEM Division will hold its bi-annual Technology Internship Program (TIP) Speed Interviewing Event on Thursday, December 1, 2016 8:45-11 a.m., MassBay officials announced. Local employers who are looking for workforce-ready IT/Computer Science interns are encouraged to sign up to participate in this speed interviewing event. This 2-hour event, based on the speed dating concept, allows employers to interview MassBay students for quick 7-10 minute interviews, to see if there might be a possible match for an internship. This is a great opportunity for local companies to connect with students for potential internships or employment. Students can help businesses in a variety of ways including; help desk support, querying databases, general reporting, diagnose and repair laptops, install hardware and software, support a network environment, provide cybersecurity strategies, redesign your website, develop site content/graphics/banners, support data driven websites, programming and more.

Watertown Church Hosting Holiday Art Show & Sale

Looking for unique, one-of- a-kind gift items this holiday season? Saturday, December 3, 2016, members and friends of the First Parish of Watertown announced they will host their annual Holiday Art Show & Sale. The hours are 11 am to 4 pm at the First Parish church, 35 Church Street in Watertown Square. More than 18 artists and crafters, along with the church’s youth group, will showcase a wide array of fine arts and crafts. Included will be paintings, photography, pottery, candles, jewelry, woven items and more.
