A Funeral Home Service will be celebrated on Monday, Sept. 23, 2015 in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, Watertown for Elizabeth C. “Bette” (Murphy) Perry. Mrs. Perry passed away in the Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge on Wednesday morning after a lengthy period of declining health. A daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (McLaughlin) Murphy. She was 92 years old.
A Funeral Home Service will be celebrated on Wednesday Sept. 23, 2015 in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home for Virginia Ethel (Bell) Melanson. Mrs. Melanson passed away in the St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Boston on Friday after a lengthy period of declining health. A daughter of the late Edward and Ethel (Caunt) Bell.
Barbara A. O’Donnell of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Sept. 6, 2015. A graveside service for Barbara will take place on Monday, Sept. 14, 2015 at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Watertown at 10 a.m.
Barbara was a lifelong resident of Watertown. A graduate of St. Patrick High School and was a diligent worker in the food service industry for many years.
Josephine A. “Jo” (Lauricella) Quirk went to her rest peacefully surrounded by her family on Sept. 5, 2015, at her residence in North Providence, R.I., after a long illness at the age of 84. Born July 25, 1931 in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Katherine V. (Romeo) Lauricella. She was the beloved wife of John P. “Jack” Quirk for 57 years before his death in 2008. She is predeceased by her youngest son, Gary R. Quirk.
A Mass of Celebration for Helen R. (Quinn) DeLacey will be held on Saturday Sept. 5, 2015 in the Church of St Jude, Waltham at 10:30 a.m.
Mrs. DeLacey, a daughter of the late Terrence J. and Bridget (Keenan) Quinn passed away at her home on Wednesday morning, Sept. 2, 2015 after a period of declining health. She was 91. Born in Boston, she grew up in Watertown, graduating from Watertown High School, Class of 1942. She was an office worker for the U.S. Government.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Sept. 4, 2015 in the Church of Saint Luke, Belmont at 10:30 a.m. for Eugene T. “Gen” Donovan. Mr. Donovan, a son of Margaret C. (Hook) and the late Eugene W. Donovan,, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Aug. 31, 2015 at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, after a 19 year battle with prostate cancer, he was 68. Gene was a resident of Watertown for the past 39 years.
Nancy T. (DiPizzol) Mancini died in Watertown, August 24, 2015 after a lengthy illness. She was retired processor for ADP, Co. Nancy is the beloved wife of John L. Mancini. Devoted mother of Nicolas J. Mancini and his wife Kelly of Florida and David P. Mancini and his wife Lauren of Wilmington. Loving grandmother of Kayla Mancini.
After a long, rewarding and fun life E. Joyce (Braceland) Munger, of Watertown, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Aug. 9, 2015. Joyce was respected by many in the community who served with her on an extensive list of committees and boards during her 60 years of service to the town. Last year she ended 35 years of service on the Watertown Housing Authority’s Board of Commissioners, and the senior apartment complex on Warren Street was renamed in her honor. She planned numerous lively community events the celebrating Watertown’s rich history and life, in addition to countless parties for her friends and family.
