An idea formed three years ago took to the waters of the Charles River on July 11, 2026 when the Wada Hoppah ferry launched at the Newton Yacht Club.
The Arsenal Project in Watertown has plenty of activities this summer and into the fall.
Two of Watertown’s historical claims is that it was the first place in Massachusetts that the Declaration of Independence was read, and it was the site of the signing of the first treat made by the new United States of America. These events will be reenacted by the Historical Society of Watertown.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday July 6, 2015 at 9 a.m. in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown for William J. McCarthy.
If Boston gets the Summer Olympics in 2024, the events will not be held in Watertown, but organizers said the event could be a boon for area jobs, transportation, housing and recreation areas.
The Watertown Free Public Library has plenty going on in July, with author talks, kids gardening, a nature walk and more.
