Watertown’s Yard Waste Pickup Begins in April, See the Schedule

Yard waste pick up will begin in Watertown on April 3, and there will be two a month, except in September when there are four pick ups.

City officials have learned what it’s like to renovate a 100+ year old building, and the unwanted surprises that come with it. On Tuesday night, the City Council approved a $373,000 budget transfer to cover the cost of unexpected additional repairs, as well as to insulate the Parker Annex.
Yard waste pick up will begin in Watertown on April 3, and there will be two a month, except in September when there are four pick ups.
The School Committee will hear the report on Career and Vocations Education Monday, a Council Committee will discuss notification of proposed projects, and the implementation of the City’s Climate and Energy Plan will be discussed. Also the Council will vote on the replacement of the Filippello Park spray pad.
A single family home, two condos and a townhouse were sold this week.
Lydia McCoy has been appointed Watertown’s new Director of Senior Services.
