Great Run by Watertown Boys Basketball Team Ends Short of State Title

LOWELL — The first half of the MIAA Div. 3 State Final started like a dream for the Watertown High School boys basketball team. Like in the previous rounds of the State Tournament the Raiders jumped to a quick lead, but their championship dreams crumbled in the second half.

Charles River Chamber Teaming With Local Restaurants to Provide Food Assistance, Resources for Eateries

The following announcement was provided by the Charles River Chamber:

Food Assistance Grant Program – Applications Now Open

The chamber has received funding to support independent Watertown restaurants while providing food assistance to local residents in need. We’ll be ordering individually packaged meals from restaurant partners (at a flat rate of $20 per meal plus tax) to distribute to local food pantries, senior and family programs and other persons in need within the city.

Scholarships Available from Rotary Club of Watertown

The following information was provided by the Rotary Club of Watertown:

All residents of Watertown who are high school seniors and applying to college are eligible for Watertown Rotary Scholarships. The amount of each award and the number of scholarships granted are determined on a yearly basis.
