Watertown’s Fahad Khan enjoyed a very successful winter, winning titles on the wrestling mat and in the boxing ring.
Once again, the Watertown Commander’s Mansion will host free drive-through Halloween festivities.
Charlie BreitroseA mailing went out to Watertown voters with the details of the proposed changes to the Town Charter.
A resident group focused on the Town Charter Review will host a meeting to provide voters with information about the proposed changes to the Town Charter to be considered by Watertown voters at the Nov. 2 election.

I’d like to give a shout for re-electing Lisa Feltner, current District B Councilor. While I am happy to see new people running for a number of open and filled slots (the interest this year is really encouraging!), I have to throw my support behind Lisa.
Charlie BreitroseThe Watertown Firefighters, Police, and civilian employees who helped save the life of 11-year-old Rachel Patterson, pose with the Patterson family. Several awards were presented at a ceremony on Oct. 18.
A dozen people received awards for their part in saving the life of a girl in July who was not breathing. Also during the ceremony the three newest members of the Watertown Fire Department officially received their badges.

The Greater Boston Labor Council – the umbrella labor union organization for the Boston area – has officially endorsed Mike Hanlon for Town Council, District A, citing his ongoing commitment to union members and to creating an equitable economy. The Greater Boston Labor Council represents more than 100,000 union members in the region, including many in Watertown.
Watertown’s chapter of 350 Mass Action, a local climate advocacy group, has endorsed the following slate of candidates for the November election:
Free dance classes for kids are available in Watertown.

Move & Groove Watertown and Ballroom in Boston are so excited to be offering kids dance classes this fall! Thanks to a generous grant from the Watertown Cultural Council and in conjunction with our nonprofit, Dancing Feet, we are able to offer free dance ballet and jazz dance class for kiddos ages 4-6.
A series of videos debuting this week will give people an inside look at the Watertown Police Department, and allow them to get to know some of the officers and others working for the WPD.
