A condo and two multi-family homes were sold this week in Watertown.

The second annual Watertown Eco Fest will feature activities including electric bike test rides, vendors of sustainable products, activities for kids, and more. The event, hosted by the City of Watertown, will also include representatives from City departments and community organizations focused on sustainability.

James DeMarco grew up in Watertown and became a goaltender at age 5. It’s his life’s passion to stand between the pipes and keep the puck out of the net. Combining this with the love of cartooning Small Saves emerged in 1991 and took on a life of his own. “To play goal–then come home and draw Small Saves — is my ideal definition of a good day.”

Communities United Inc., a non-profit organization that provides high-quality education and family services throughout 11 MetroWest cities and towns including Watertown, announced it has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Mildred’s Dream Foundation (MDF) to support the launch of CUI’s new food backpack program.

Due to our desire to kick-start our new year off well, we will be focusing on testing students and staff who may have traveled or spent extended time with people outside of their immediate household prior to the return to in-person learning. In order to accomplish this, we will start the year in our remote learning model, Monday, January 4 through Wednesday, January 6, with a return to in-person learning on Thursday, January 7.
Natural Selections, Watertown’s first medical marijuana dispensary, will be opening soon.
Watertown’s first marijuana dispensary, Natural Selections, seeks to move when the lease at its current location expires. A Community Meeting will be held to discuss the proposed new location on Jan. 6 at 5 p.m. It will be held remotely via Zoom.
The winter high school sports season will begin right after New Year’s, and in the condensed schedule Watertown will only play teams in the Middlesex Freedom Division.
